Frequently Asked Questions About Purchasing Wholesale
Who can buy wholesale?
Wholesale customers are purchasing in bulk with the intent to resell products to the general public rather than their own personal use.
Since wholesale purchases are intended to be resold, applications from outside the rock, mineral, and fossil trade may be denied. If your business or organization legitimately resells our products, you can appeal by contacting Stephanie Henry the warehouse manager directly at stephanie@entertheearth.com.
How do I sign up for a wholesale account?
A username and password are required to access our online catalog. If you are an existing user, please log in. New customers should fill out an application by clicking on the green register button in the upper right corner of our website.
Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received. Approval may take up to two business days. (The wholesale warehouse is not open on weekends.)
What paperwork is required to set up a wholesale account?
Enter the Earth is based in North Carolina. Our state accepts out-of-state resale certificates for wholesale purchases.
Domestic (USA) customers must attach a scan or photo of their current resale certificate to their application. Unfortunately, a federal Employer Identification Number (EIN) is insufficient. Your resale certificate may be a specific document or a form that you fill out instead, depending upon your home state.
We are required by law to retain a copy of your paperwork as proof that wholesale purchases are intended to be resold. Unsure about what you need to submit? Check out our list of state issued resale certificates.
Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon do not have resale certificates because they do not collect sales tax statewide. The following paperwork can be submitted as a substitute:
Alaska: Business License
Delaware: Business License
Montana: Montana Business Registry Resale Certificate or Business License
New Hampshire: Business License
Oregon: Oregon Business Registry Resale Certificate or Business License
You can find more information at your state’s department of revenue website.
What paperwork is required for international customers?
International customers should attach a scan or photo of official government issued paperwork from their country like a business license or business number. Some examples include:
Australia: Australian Business Number (ABN)
Canada: Business Number (BN)
France: Système d’identification du répertoire des entreprises (SIREN/SIRET) number or TVA intracommunautaire (French VAT ID)
India: Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN)
Japan: Corporate Number
Mexico: Registro Federal de Contribuyentes (RFC) Number
Singapore: Unique Entity Number (UEN)
United Kingdom: Company Registration Number (CRN)
Since wholesale purchases are intended to be resold, applications from outside the rock, mineral, and fossil trade may be denied. If your business or organization legitimately resells our products, you can appeal by contacting Stephanie Henry the warehouse manager directly at stephanie@entertheearth.com.

How do I book an appointment for your wholesale warehouse in Asheville, NC?
Our main ~17,000 sq. ft. warehouse is located just outside of downtown Asheville, North Carolina. It is open by appointment all year long. Qualified wholesale customers may schedule a visit Monday to Friday, from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. EST. Unfortunately, it is not open to the general public.
You can reach us at 828-318-8607 to check for availability. Please contact us at least 24 hours in advance. Since the warehouse is closed over the weekend, Monday morning appointments need to be booked by the end of day Friday. First time visitors must bring a copy of their resale certificate or be registered online at wholesale.entertheearth.com.
Walk-in appointments are discouraged since the warehouse closes periodically when our crew is away at gem shows. Please check our calendar for upcoming closures.
How do I book an appointment for your wholesale warehouse in Tucson, AZ?
Our ~10,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Tucson, Arizona is only open during scheduled events like our open house during the Tucson gem show. Appointments are not currently available at this time. Please check out our wholesale calendar for this year’s show dates.
Since we do not have a shipping department in Tucson, mail orders are not available from our Arizona location. Additionally, only pallet sized orders can be shipped to customers after in-person shopping.
What are your policies about photos, videos, lives sales, and social media?
Please ask permission before taking pictures or videos in our warehouse and gem show venues. We do not allow live sales directly from our showroom. While sending images to a client is understandable, we try not to disclose our wholesale pricing. For example, we erase our price signs and stickers in our publicly shared images.
While we appreciate getting tagged on Instagram and Facebook, we know that many buyers want to protect their sources. We intentionally refrain from liking or commenting on materials that may have come from us on social media. We try to balance supporting our community without implying a business relationship you may want private. For example, we try to take gem show videos and photos without customers to protect your privacy.
